Hi. We made it. The ferry crossing was rough but no sickness amongst us!! We even had breakfast on the boat!!
Out of Cherbourg at 06.30 and the traffic was non existent. Stopped to see the parachutist on the church spire at St mere Eglise and then some supermarket shopping for lunch rations.
Detoured to St Michaels Mount for some photos and a coffee.
Stopped at Bagnols de Orne for our rations and then on to our first overnight stop. I must confess we opted for a two bedroom house for the night because of the weather!! Camping in wind and rain is no fun when your old!!
Anyway the accommodation is very good and there’s a bar selling Guinness ten yards down the toad. May pay a quick visit later. I don’t think it will be a late night!!
