Hey, hey hey and HOHOHO.
Well its been a while since i updated my last travel blog. Lots as happened since then again mainly involving nights out as we seem to have exhausted the free things to do through the day.
So even though we are staying in Dee Why which is a bus and two train journeys from our friends at the Kanga guest house we ventured down on Xmas eve after speniding three nights in the trot in the house watching telly and eating rather well after our big shop. Xmas eve was set up to be an epic night of 80's fun and it didnt disappoint. After updating this ill put my pics on FB and you have to check em out, i think you will all agree my outfit was pretty spectacular! Purchased at the charity shop in dee why and accesorised with a cassette tape, backcombed hair and tons of makeup. We started the fun in the hostel where one of the girsl had kindly made a buffet for everyone at the with the help of others. We all chipped in and ate in the garden and watched as secret santa presents were exchanged. Jasons 80's accessory was a coredless phone, i kid you not throughout the whole of xmas we did not get bored of the endless amounts of fun you can have with this and watchin the boys chat girls up and get there number on the "number recognition" keypad was hilarious, having conversations to passers by on there mobiles, texting on it on the bus and using shoes as phones also..... I think you had to be there. So we headed out after several litres of goon had been consumed and made our way to world bar in Kings cross all 25 of us. Suprisingly we all managed to get in and noone got refused for being intoxed! After a few hours in there though myself and Rob were kicked out and Rob went back to the hostel as the bouncer would not let him back in and i was allowed back in WAHOO! Anyway it was a great night lots of fun was had and the Celebrations continued in the morning when we got up and had our first drink and played xmas songs whilst optimisticaly getting ready to go to the Beach (BONDI) for Christmad day.
It had been the only place before i came away that i wanted to spend xmas day other than home and i treid my best to enjoy being sat on the grass with the crap weather but it was a major anti climax. Dont get me wrong there was a big crowd and we had a laugh but cant believe i ate Mac D's and subway on xmas day as we were all to useless to buy food xmas eve (or too drunk) To say the least i was dissapointed and it had not lived up to the expectations i has for a beatiful day on Bondi. That night after speking with my parents i got homesick properly for the first time and shed a little tear. Christmas without your family and friends is not the same. We spent the night carrying on the celebrations, the police turned upto the hostel after there had been complaints about the noise so the party continued in the room i was suppose to be sleeping in with Tina. It turned out to be a great night and i have never laughed so much in my life at some of the antics and was happy that i had this mental bunch of peaople to spend xmas with. Tina is tops!
I spent the whole day asleep on boxing day and the weather now is still overcast so keeping occupied but have major itchy feet and cant wait to move on. We have field day booked for new years day and will prob watch the fireworks new years eve which will be awesome but i think my time in Sydney is done and cant wait to head to Brisbane on the 3rd Jan to continue our travels.
Hope everyone back home had a lovley Xmas and all the best for the new Year x x x x
