Hi Travel-log fans! Hope you're all well! We arrived in Hanoi last Tuesday and a day later took a trip to Ha Long Bay. We stayed over night on the boat and spent the rest of the time cruising around the small islands in the bay and kayaking. It was very relaxing and a nice break from the city and the sunset was spectacular. Hanoi has quite a small centre so it's easy to get around on foot so we've been walking lots. The traffic is pretty hectic though, a lot of motorcyclists who seem to veer towards you instead of away which is quite scary. It's also flippin hot! There are a lot of tacky shops but some nice ones too and the lake is very pretty. Other than that it has taken more effort than we expected to organise our escape from Vietnam to Hong Kong, but we fly out tomorrow. We're quite looking forward to a 10 degree drop in temperature, we've been sweaty for too long and the locals don't appreciate it. Anyway, Vietnam has been fab and we'd absolutely recommend a visit here! Keep in touch! Love Ben and Helen xx
