Hi Guys! We arrived in Auckland on Monday morning and flew on Tuesday to Christchurch in the South Island where we vegged for a few days in a really cool hostel. We decided to invest in a high quality vehicle for our trip around New Zealand, and now we are the proud owners of a 1987 Toyota Corolla complete with racing exhaust - also fondly known as The Hip-Hop Mobile or Brent. Although we enjoyed Christchurch it was time to move on this morning and we have driven south to Oamaru on the coast. We have had a fantastic evening, watching the yellow-eyed penguins return to the beach after a days hunting . They're big fellas, over half a metre tall and very cute. It's cold here and by the sound of things we're heading for snow, but so far New Zealand is every bit as beautiful as we imagined it would be. Thank you for all the messages! Missing you all!
