Huw's Bit
Lazy start to day - woo hoo! Retraced some steps from yesterday. Had photo op with Boris Yeltsin, saw loads more brides (bit disturbing really) but again stand out of the day was back to the Georgian Restaurant - will rave on about this place for quite some time or until I find another Georgian restaurant. Everybody start looking!
Christine's bit
Woke up to rain and expected forecast of storms and 21 degrees - by afternoon rain had gone. .Huw late getting up - I had a big breakfast and we used the morning for making phone calls, blogging etc and then headed out to do the other sites not seen yesterday - basically followed the red line that has been drawn on the pavement to allow tourists to find the principal sites around the city (significant architecture, Municipal buildings, Opera House, statue of Boris Gorbachev, statue in Memory of the Fallen Soldiers, Square of 1905). Took Huw's picture on a statue of Lenin in the city (there are thousands of statues of Lenin everywhere) where there was a rally happening for the Communist Party with lots of red and stirring music! There is an election coming up for Mayor of Moscow next month (the main opposition was jailed recently for his criticism of Putin and there have been rallies against the imprisonment . He was released from prison the day we arrived In Moscow).
Booked the same restaurant from last night for our evening meal which was superb again. Back to the hotel for an early night and pack up ready for the train journey to Moscow tomorrow - 1 day and 1 night.
