Huw's Bit Flight in was a llitle peculiar!  Was expecting a prop plane smaller than the one from Dubrocnik but got an Airbus A320 - flight time 45mins!  Take off, cruise 2mins, land! Spectacular place in terms of views, buildings (and where they've built them), sunsets, cruise liners etc.  One peculiarity was we saw loads of Asian weddings!  Had one of the trips top meals in a local taverna - just a pork souvlaki, but it was incredible! Huw's Bit Managed to hide the fact from Chrissie that we were on a twin prop plane for the for the flight into Athens until she asked an hour before take off! Everything went tickety boo though and cheked into the hotel at about 7ish. Novotel Athenes is good, gym and rooftop pool especially.  Restaurant also on the roof with outstanding views of the Acropolis - ate there both nights. Huw's Bit 4 complete days in the same place! Bliss! Found things in my case I'd forgotten we're there! Including some washing - yeeeuch! Apartment fab location, right in the middle of the old town, just shame about the 4 flights of stairs (not fun with Chrissie's case) and the bloody Irish Pub 3m across the street. Huw's Bit Great location for our apartment but glad we didn't bring the cat because we would not have been able to swing it - bloody hell, couldn't even sit on the loo without banging knees on washing machine! Overall bit underwhelmed by Split!  The old town is lovely and the views from the park were worth the walk.   Chrissie has been telling me again and again that she'd heard the Croats were very friendly...and she was right!  Lovely change frn Italien t...
