It is the 1st February today and we arrive in Cabo San Lucas in Baja (lower) California, as we disembark from the tender boat there are young girls smiling, dancing as they welcome us on land. Once again lots of sunshine, sorry, I know it is freezing at home.
Our dear friends, Linda and Kerry, met us here and together we enjoyed a trip in a glass bottom boat, so we saw many colourful fish such as clown fish, we went in close to the rocks around the coastline and enjoyed seeing the many pelicans and sea lions. The real highlight was seeing a huge whale that looked so graceful as it came out of the water and then so gracefully dived back down into the sea.
After a delicious Mexican lunch we walked along the seafront and saw the fishermen with their catch of the day. We could not believe our eyes they had caught two huge Marlin that each weighed between 110lbs and 150 lbs.
We looked at some souvenir shops and talked and talked until we had to say our farewells and board the last tender back to the ship.
Two more days of sailing up the west coast of America to reach San Francisco on Saturday 4th February.
