Hi from Niagara Falls,
Yesterday was spent transiting from Japan to Vancouver to Toronto. We are getting well versed with different layouts of planes, different time zones, transfers, immigration AND the results of purchasing cheap airfares for internal flights. We had limited time to go through immigration etc and get to our allotted gate to find large numbers of people including us who needed a seat number. After the due departure time we were finally given a seats for our 4 hour journey although not together. Bill did finally get a window seat, (somehow I had managed on previous flights!!!) I had a middle seat, plus as we were late on the plane very little overhead space therefore my bag ended up 4 seats back so couldn't retrieve my neck pillow or jacket but did survive albeit a little chilly and a sore neck, but all good today.
Today we collected the car managed to drive around the airport a few times before TOM TOM kicked in and then we were on our way to Niagara Falls. We have completed one of my Bucket list items - to see Niagara Falls. For some reason when I went to school we learnt quite a bit about Canada and the great Lakes and Niagara Falls have stuck in my mind. It is amazing watching the water power over the edge. We along with hundreds of others went on the Maid and Mist boat tour that goes right up near the falls and of course get very wet. We also went on the Journey 'Behind the Falls' which I found fascinating. Now back at our B&B ready for a long night's sleep.
