We arrived in Nelson after a seven hour drive mainly in the dark down tiny windy roads. We kept playing games to keep everyone awake and we were a bit bored of our one cassette. We got to Franz and ended up staying in the same hostel as the irish lads. Franz is just another small township, very similar to Fox. They seem to have a big rivalry as they're only 25 km's apart and both think their glacier is better! That evening we treated ourselves to dinner out. We woke up and headed to Fox Glacier, stopping first at a little place called Wanaka for our cheese and crisp sandwiches. It's quite a pretty town, with another beautiful lake in it. the highlight of the town though was visiting Puzzling World! It's a little centre with an illusions room and a maze! We left the beautiful house to start our 6ish hour journey down to Queenstown. The views along the way were amazing, so many lakes. One of the nicest was Lake Tekapo (in the picture), it's a bright blue colour due to glacial deposits. We also drove past Mount Cook, the highest mountain in New Zealand.
