Keeping track of murray
Took the kids swimming today to Lake Titicaca.. not in the lake but a friendly hotel who let the home use the pool for the day. All the kids went in a bus with about 4 or 5 kids to a double seat and 3 volunteers and some of a couple of the teachers went in an old ambulance. I'm not sure were they found it. Mum and margaret this is where some of the money comes in usefull. The volunteers paid for the petrol out of the funds they had, and i think a contribution towards heating the pool, not that it seemed heated! We had a load of inflatable rings cos most of the kids can't swim and they had a whale of a time.. they also spent 3 hours in the playground whilst the mamitas (the women who look after the kids) played pool. Then we came home which was a bit of a problem as the ambulance ran out of petrol and they wanted to ditch it and all get on the bus which was already standing room only, we managed to scape together some more dosh and made it home with the siren blaring.. i think the driver was having a great time. We also had birthdays during the week, some of the aid gets wrapped up as presents and we had cake which was yummy. Looking forward to next week already!
