Today was the day when I plucked up all my courage and Learnt how to ride a scooter!
We rented scooters from a nearby shop for as little as £4 for the day! I was so nervous, Sarah stayed behind and had a pool day instead!
We all got bikes up and headed on the road! Firstly we stopped for petrol, luckily they have people there that do it for you! When leaving the petrol station I kind of forgot I wasn’t in England and was driving on the wrong side of the road!
First stop was the blue lagoon, this was about an hour drive from the centre and on some really tough surfaces! Dodging cows and little kids playing on the street was hard! I finally got used to it, I know you accelerate with one had and use the other to brake, you only ever use one brake!
We arrived at the blue lagoon, it was so so pretty and super blue! We first decided to check out the caves which were pretty dodgey. You first had to climb up the mountain then you find a wobbly wooden ladder to climb on hands and knees into the cave! It was cool when you go in as it was not touristy at all!
Before I knew it Jonny and Rob had stripped into there England speedos which me and Sadie didn’t realise they were wearing! They wanted a photo shoot in the middle of the cave! After the photo shoot we made our ways around the cave and back to the ground which was very slippery!
It was so warm, me and Sadie jumped straight in the lagoon, we even had a rubber ring which was nice to chill on! Then as boys do, Jonny and Rob did a zip line together, each going from each side of the lagoon! I filmed and somehow Jonny had managed to lift himself up and knock himself on the handlebar! He hit the water and he was covered in blood, he’d split his head and Rob had to stick on stitches!
After he had recovered we had a small rice lunch there before getting on our bikes to the next waterfall.
This Waterfall was so small and there was no tourists there at all! When we arrived we paid entrance then had to go down the steepest of hills which was on a cliff edge! I was so paranoid after what had happened to that girl in India, so I went so so slowly!
We got to the waterfall and it wasn’t that special! I now see why there was no one there. The boys stripped to their speedos again for another photo session!
We then drove back and did a sunset pit stop for the boys and there speedos. We got back eventually and I was so happy I survived! Today has been a great day for me, I now feel confident to bike around!
I had a quick baguette for dinner then got ready to go out! It was actually such a good night in Vang Vieng, there was so many backpackers and the bars were full!
When we got back Sadie managed to fall asleep on the pool table and Jessie on the Chairs!
