Nic and Katie's Adventure!
The drive into the Nevada desert was possibly the hottest place I've ever been on earth.
The wind blowing on my face, so hot that it burnt. Looking into the rear mirror and seeing Rob sun bathing/ melting to the leather back seat. And looking to my right to see Katie wrapped up in Arab style head gear made out of my tshirt and sunglasses covering her face, made me realise that 45c is hotter than most people ever experience in their entire lives.
We had a brief stop at the Hoover Dam, which was pretty Dam impressive! (see what I did there.....) before heading off to Las Vegas.
We had time to spare in Vegas, so we traded in the Car. We drive over 5,000 miles in the Chase, the silver Mustang, and we had to swap it over for a fresher model.... Someone knocked the wing mirror off about 4,996 miles back and the black tape was getting tired.
The upgrade came as a V6 White newer model Mustang. We thought of what would be the most trailer trash American name we could give the big white back sided Mustang....
We drove Destiny out of the airport and checked into the Luxor.
Alex was waiting for us and we headed back onto the strip. The night was still around 30c and the lights on the strip were blinding.... And the car was FAST.
The next few days in Vegas were somewhat of a blur.
In summary, we ate from big plates ,we drank alcohol out of even bigger glasses and we laughed a lot.
We all hung around the VIP pool during the day drinking cocktails and hit the hotel bars by night.
Katie and I played some Roulette, Alex got caught up in a fight at gun point in a male toilet and Rob.... Well Rob disappeared for 24 hours and is now a father.
To a child with a black mother. A black, deeply Christian mother. A black, deeply Christian mother of which he had to double check his iPhone to remind himself of her name the next day.
THAT'S VEGAS BABY!!!!
Peace and flip flops
