Nic and Katie's Adventure!
We stopped in a place just south of Phoenix for one night.the drive was long and the weather was HOT.
It reached about 110f, which felt like 150f when the wind is blowing in your face while driving with the roof down....
Its hard life....
We knew it was hot, as there were blown out tires scattered each side of the road. A constant reminder to slow down a little and obey the speed limit.... For a bit.
Rob was on Skype on his iPad showing his mates as we drove through white sand deserts. They showed us the rainy view outside of a flat in Edinburgh... We were a long way from home and loving every minute of it!
The classic red rocks and incredible backdrops lined each side of the road, and the snacks in the back seat tasted good. This road trip was going to be epic! The states is the perfect country for a road trip. And beef jerky is definitely the ultimate road trip snack.
We only stayed one night in the state of Arizona. We were heading into New Mexico and passing boarder control the next day. A reminder that we needed to remove the body in the boot and finish all the drugs....
We tapped in the closest Motel 6 into the GPS and headed towards it with sun burnt faces and empty Beef Jerky wrappers.
For reasons we wont get into, fuel prices are pretty cheap in the states. So far we have travelled about 650 miles and it has cost us about 80p....
And people say war is bad?!!!
Anyways, next stop New Mexico. Fajitas, burritos and cold beer!
iPads and flip flops
