Well, today the english weather has caught up with us and it's raining. We've taken refuge in an internet cafe, but I only have 9 minutes left of my money, so this won't be too long an entry.
We arrived safe and sound at Bangkok airport and eventually (with some help from very friendly Thais) found our hotel by about 7:30pm. We spent the evening exploring the local area, Khao San Road and even managed to find the river.
Yesterday (Sunday) we hit Chatachuck market (by the way I am completely making up spellings of places) and both nearly died from the heat of midday. It was massive and we got completely lost in it, though really enjoyed seeing all the different stalls, apart from the slightly disturbing pet stalls, where the poor animals looked like they were about to keel over from the heat. After the market we headed for some air conditioned reflief in the big malls at Siam Square. We had a very cheap lunch there before having a look around and then heading off to a park, which neither of us can remember the name of. There we saw large groups of people doing aerobics (maybe the government should introduce a similar free thing in England to lower obesity rates!) At dusk we were chased out of the park but massive flying bug things, which didn't seem to bite, just flew into you (hands, face, eyes, ears etc)
I have two minutes left. So briefly - today. We went to the Grand Palace and got rained on.
