Greetings from the Red Centre. We have been in Alice Springs for two days, and have been whizzing round the sights. Later today we head off on a bus tour to Uluru and other places on the way down to Adelaide. We have been busy seeing more of New South Wales. After Sydney we visited the Blue mountains and stayed in a lovely guest house at Katoomba. The views were great from the lookouts around town into valleys and over spectacular cliffs. We also visited the Jenolan Caves which were brilliant. Hello from Australia! We are luxuriating at the Sydney Harbour Marriott, enjoying the pool, sauna, free buffet breakfasts and our lovely room complete with bathtub and 8 pillows! We have spent the last few days relaxing (as much as we can) on Cat Ba Island. It's a lot more peaceful here than in Hanoi, although there are still one or two mopeds whizzing around to keep you on your toes.
