Hello, we are in the adventure capital of New Zealand (and, probably the world) so today we have been....doing our washing. No, but Ed has been on a jet boat ride and I've been horse riding too. Queenstown is a beautifully situated town on the banks of Lake Wakatipu, surrounded by snowy mountains. The area around Queenstown was used for filming large sections of Lord of the Rings but we haven't seen any orcs yet. We have been overloading on beautiful scenery having recently been to Milford Sound where we did a cruise and also visited an underwater observatory. In Te Anau we saw glow-worms in a cave which was magical. Before that we had been in Dunedin, home of Speights Brewery. We went on the Brewery tour and sampled their fine brews. Dunedin is home to the world's steepest street, which we missed, but driving down the coast we did spot some more penguins.
