Moab Utah.....what an interesting place! The main reason we decided to go to Moab was because it is the central city for the Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. Moab is in the middle of the desert and is sooooo hot! stinkin hot. We flew in from Denver, Colorado on a tiny 18 seater plane. Moab airport is about the size of Ceduna airport and just about as well run! the rental car company werent at their desk and when i phoned them they said they didnt have my reservation...but i had made one about a month before over the internet. So she said the only car we could rent was a Jeep Cheroke SUV for twice the price. Moab is the kinda place you need to have a car too so we had to take this one or have nothing!!!! this is the first major thing to have gone wrong on the trip so far tho so we didnt let it get to us. Turns out the car was awesome, very flash...leathr seats and electronic seating etc etc. pretty cool and nice for driving through the national parks.

Now...imagine boiling hot, dry, desert heat, no shades, burning sun and lots of massive red canyons and rock formations. That is basically the parks we wandered around for 3 days. Arches was awesome. its named arches because it literalyl has a lot of archways! Rocks formed over time into massive arches...and they are HUGE. i have a photo of one with me standing under it and you can barely tell i am there...i look like an ant. We saw awesome sunsets and stayed out til the stars came out which was cool. the air temp was a bit more bearable too! oh...we consumed ALOT of water!!!

We explored Canyonlands which...as the name suggests, is full of canyons...so think the grand canyon and that is whats canyonlands is..same tyhing, just different state and not as commercialised which is nice. there is a fair bit of wildlife in both the parks too...apparently there are rattle snakes but we didnt see them luckily!!!

Oh we stayed in a little backpacker caravan park-a few trailer park trashies getting around haha so funny!

anyway....keep reading my next blogs...ive fallen a bit behind so i am about to add LAS VEGAS and SAN DIEGO!
