Yesterday morning we went to the Mausoleum of Sun Yat Sen, our local guide Maggie was full of information about Nanjing but we all got a bit on overload with her constant banter. Jimmy our Guide is much easy going & less intense. We then saw the City Wall which is the largest ancient city wall in China. The Yangtze River was certainly impressive as was the Yangtze River Bridge. Here we also saw the Master painting the inside of snuff bottles, teapots & crystal balls. Very tempting to buy! Confucius Temple Bazaar was so peaceful but the Jade store was a bit intense. After that we had an hour to wander the local shops, would have been good to stay even longer but as it was by the time we had our lovely dinner then headed to our Hotel it was after 8 o'clock. The Hotel in Suzhou was truly beautiful. So peaceful!! I just wish that we were able to stay for a day or two!! Now off to Hangzhou.
