Hi Everyone

It's only been a couple of days since the last blog but seeing as there is a real computer here in the 'Mad Monkey' hostel we thought we'd post again... what a treat!

Sooooo.. we saw the temples of Angkor on Sunday which were a delight! Even the begging children were quite nice and sweet. Firsly we saw Angkor Wat which is apparantly the biggest and the best temple of them all.. it was very impressive. We saw a GIANT spider there too.. a yellow and black one. gross. Zak even bought a t-shirt there as he liked the temple so much (and because the shop keepers are VERY persistant.. but at $2 he had himself a bargain and was very happy). After seeing a few more temples, and a few more...and a couple more after that, we went to the 'Tomb Raider' temple which is the one which is overgrown by trees... this was by far my favourite because I love trees. #treerings

That evening, after Zak had eaten a bag of crickets, we went to a bar named 'Angkor WHAT?!'.. great name for a great bar. We met some nice people there and had a few happy hour beers/g&ts followed by a lovely bucket full of Grasshopper cocktail..basically mint aero in a bucket.

We woke up in the morning with a mild hangover ready to board our bus to Phnom Penh. We got picked up in a battered old truck to take us to the bus station which was down an old dirt track.. was a bit weird but fine. We boarded the 22 seater bus along with 26 Cambodians, 44 pieces of luggage in old rice bags and a chicken. I'm not joking by the way! So we embarked on our 230km journey which should take 5 hours with a reputable bus company. However due to us basically being on a school bus and the road conditions, driving ability of the captain and the air conditiong all firmly scoring a 1 out of 10 we arrived 9 and a half hours later.

The sights along the way did however make the journey a bit easier.. my personal favourite was the man on a motorbike towing behind him a wicker barrel full of piglets!

We're in FNOM PEN now and visited the killing fields today... all a bit depressing but interesting at the same time. Zak also had his first travelling haricut today which was hilarious to watch as he looked more worried and upset by this than the killing fields themselves.. but for $2 and a free bottle of water he cant complain!

We've changed our original plan to go to the coast tomorrow due to the rain so we're heading to Kampot instead for 2-3 nights where hopefully it will not be raining...

We're heading to Vietnam Friday or Saturday so until then.. BYEEEEEEEEE
