Day 1 of our jungle trek, took us about an hour to get there, only got a small backpack on me with a few clothes, towel and plimsoles. We have our trek leader who calls himself the "Jungle King". Check out today, got a good nights sleep, I think I'm over the worst of the jet lag now. Took a while! Getting a bus up to Chiang Mai, another long journey, around 6 hours this time. We checked in to our new hotel and then attended a meeting about our 3 day jungle trek. Feeling pretty tired again from all the travelling, dinner and bed, ready to be up early for my trek.

After a long night bus journey of about 7-8 hours we all got on the back of a motorbike each with our backpacks and headed to our new accommodation, pretty scary but fun. It was about 3.30am and the lady came out and said there were no rooms available!! I was fuming as we were stranded in the middle of the night.
