Up at 9 ready to check out at 10, feeling much better today which is good. Our ferry isn't until the afternoon at 2 so we went into town to get some breakfast. I had a bacon baguette at this little French Bistro, so nice to enjoy my food again and get my appetite back. Caught the ferry across to Ko Samui, didn't take too long and the boat was nice so can't complain. Arrived at our hotel in Samui, it's called Z Hotel, it has air conditioning! Really nice spa...

Last and final day in Koh Tao, not been as good as I'd expected but getting sick wasn't on the agenda. Such as life. I didn't do much again today except rest, Ben was feeling much better so he and Nick went into the sea for a swim. Had some food and that was it really, got my backpack all organised and ready to check out tomorrow for another day of travel.

Today was a compete write off! I couldn't go down and do my diving exam as I felt like utter crap! Ears were in pain and couldn't hear very well, my whole body was aching, I kept going hot and cold, it wasn't good. Nick went down and did the test, he came back unsuccessful... Oh Nick!! Myself and Ben, who was now back at the hotel after being on the drip to rehydrate his body, were just chilling in the room all day, drinking lots of fluids and eating snacks her...

Today was an eventful day, me and Nick woke up to finish the academic part of our course, Ben was feeling worse than ever in bed, so we agreed once we had finished the morning part of our course we would take him to the clinic. Sure enough we came back and took him over to the clinic which was only a 5 minute walk away. We took him inside and Ben explained his symptoms. Ben was then put on a drip for 5 hours, fun I know! We couldn't do much else and had to be ...

Woke up fairly early to start my diving course properly, we headed down to the classroom to do some written work until lunch. After lunch we headed out into the water, firstly we had to demonstrate we could swim, 2 laps around the boat, simple. Then we got all our equipment on, which is really heavy and into the water we went. Ben didn't make it this far, he'd had a bad night feeling rough and being out on a boat didn't help his situation, game over Mr. Thurst...
