Hiya everyone!

It's a beautiful sunny day in Melbourne, still quite cold but nice and sunny. And this is winter! Just thought I give you a quick update on what is happening. Today is my last full day in Melbourne as I am booked on a flight to Cairns tomorrow afternoon. Yep, you are right, this wasn't part of the original plan but my original plan didn't work out so I had to change it. And then from Cairns it's all the way down to Sydney and then on to Canberra and back to Brisbane from where I'll be flying home! Yes, the end is now definitely in sight although I have just started enjoying Australia. Shame but it'll be good to be back home too! Melbourne is a fantastic city and I am really enjoying my time here. It's just so multi-cultural and has so many different really nice restaurants (very cheap too) and cake shops!!! It's really not good for your figure, I can tell you but I am sure I'll get a good deal at the local gym when I am back....

Went to the penguin parade on PhillipIsland yesterday and it was so cool (in all senses of the word...)! There were hundreds of penguins coming home for the night from the ocean and it was so amazing to see them waddle onto the beach. Unfortunately, you weren't allowed to take any pictures so I don't have any photos but the experience was truly amazing!

I'll be going to Ballarat today to see an old gold mining town. Curious what that is going be like. I'll tell you in my next blog. Otherwise, I haven't really been doing much apart from wondering around Melbourne's street (I have been able to resist the shopping temptation so far, apart from the cakes that is...) and taking in the feel of the city. I have to admit it feels nice. Great city. So I hope that you have a great day today, I will I'm sure. And don't forget to keep smiling!
