Hard to believe, but my time is really up now....

After my flight to Brisbane was re-routed (instead of flying directly from Canberra to Brisbane I now had to go via Sydney), I finally arrived in sunny Queensland, even if it was slightly overcast! My plane from Canberra had to be de-iced before take off, that just shows you how bl**dy cold it got there. Although I have to admit that Snoozy (soon to be called Highland Pete) did a good job at keeping the house and thus me warm.

Anyway, I met up with Ian and had a really good time in Brisbane, despite Germany loosing the final. And here I am, sitting at the airport, waiting for my flight to Auckland. I still can't believe my travels have finally come to an end... Maybe it'll sink in once I am on the plane, currently it only feels like I am catching another flight! I have just been informed that my flight is already 1.5 hours late, not a good start but hey, I have 4 hours in Auckland to spare anyway, so at least I am not going to miss my connection!

And this really will be he final blog from me from my 8 months of travelling the world. It seems so unreal to me but I am so looking forward to being back and seeing all my friends and family again. And as sad as it may sound, I am also really looking forward to finding a new job and working again! Sad, I know.So for the last time, I'll sign off and hope that you will keep smiling! Take care everyone and thank you for your support and all the messages and emails I have received over the last 8 months, it was great to know that you are out there somewhere at the other end of the world!!!!
