Finding a partner for a travel is not the easiest thing. With Hild our mood changes quickly both for the better and the worse, we're just as stubborn both of us and nothing goes to deep, except for the solidarity. Its working out good spending 2 weeks together 24 out of 24. I had really missed Hild all year through, I knew the 2 weeks would be good ones when we set out from Trondheim. I will never forget her french accent and going back to Toulouse alone on Wednesday, I know I'll miss her.

The journey took us from Macon to San Sebastian, and in between Toulouse, Lyon and Biarritz. A real girl trip with the jokes, conversations and secrets only a two girls alliance can hold. Some great histories to take with us is the exploring of the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao; three floors filled with objects that makes your mind get twisted, contemporary art museum is like a playground for adults :) How we thought we would die in the car with Jerome driving like a crazy down to Spain. Listening to gospel music on a corner in Toulouse at the beginning of la Fete de la musique.

The best...we have had our first couchsurfing experiences. For those of you who don't know this absolutely genious thing you have to check out www.couchsurfing.com and get signed up. Thanks to it I'm writing this in a nice appartment 5 minutes from town, where the walls are decorated with the surfboards of Eric, our tandemsurfing host that left us his appartment while he flied off to Chad with Air France. He picked us up in town Sunday evening, let us in on all the important information, slept one night in the appartment, went surfing in the early morning before he put on his airhost suit and then he was off to work. Crazy guy. Today we played beach volley with his neigbour, and all day long we've been riding his bikes around town. Need I say more

Tomorrows plan is surfing. The plan has been in our head since the very start and now theres only one day left to do it. I also owe Hild a real night out, sad circumstances made me sleep away both saturdays with unreassuring dreams... ;) Hild is really sunburned but still wont take my advice to stay clear of the sun so my newfound mission is to pull her in to the shadow of the beautiful trees in Biarritz. This city is so fresh, like the ocean washes it clean every night. This is a place to breathe.
