So to thank Tammy and Jeanine for letting me stay I cooked them dinner! Dad's special recipe of onion and goat's cheese tartlets and an apple crumble for pudding. Yum. The onion tartlets and crumble went down a treat :) Even the cats wanted some and begged me to feed them onions but I thought it might be best to keep them off french vegetarian cuisine..

The redwoods in Muir woods are huuuugggeee. Of course they are, that's what the Lonely Planet said but really. They are humongous!!! Really cool :) And I didn't get to see the Point Bonita lighthouse or bridge view from the North side of the bridge due to.... da da da daaaammm.... fog. Stupid San Francisco fog. :( but we saw a film today which was (Steven Spielberg) dramatic and thus pretty terrible but nice to see an American cinema and eat popcorn with butter(?!?!) on it. Then I studied the bread section of a SUPERmarket called Safeway's and the cheese and soup and milk and beer and washing powder section and decided that I like the massive amount of choice but that less is also fine :) It's too big though. You need an afternoon to do some shopping. Shopping also becomes a good workout with the size of the places. You can walk for miles before finding a till. Anyway. Off to LA!!
