The fight to Bangkok was a good one, it was with B.A. but was a lot better than the one to Singapore all those months ago! now i only took me 10 mins get through customs which i'm told might me a record as most on Thaintro took about 2 hrs! i didn't have to wait long till group leader Allen turned up to collect me! (he was shocked to see me thinking there was no way i could get through so quickly) we got in the taxi and headed for the hotel (it's nice to hotel and not hostel) on the way he briefed me on what the week would consist of! but i roughly knew anyway! one we got back it was midnight and Allen had some time to kill till the next pick up! so he quickly showed me round the Kaosan road, and to be honest, it wasn't what i was expecting at all, i expected to me mental really busy, and buzzing, but what i saw was a lot of stools packing up yeah there were lots of people, and bars! but just not as crazy as imagined! The next day was Day,1 For Allen it was collecting the rest of the people from the airport and for us it was a chill out then we would all go out for meal as a group for the first time! but during the day some of the group who were already there had discided to go to the Grand Palace! (this used to be one of the activity's Thaintro used to do, but with the flooding the palace was closed to protected it! but with out Allen to lead us on our 1st day we needed a leader when Allen asked the girls who's idea it was to go to the palace if they knew where it was, and they replayed YES and pointed in the wrong directed! i knew it was my time to lead! as maps are one of my favoute things! i then lead them from the the palace to the Kaosan road then back to the hotel! Later we met the rest of the group and all went out for a meal and to explore the Bangkok clubs! Day 2 Was started with a river boat cruse on the Chao Phraya River to the Wat Arun temple then across the river to the Wot Po temple to see the reclining Buddha! not every one was feeling this mainly coz they'd had to much to drink the night before, and i don't think every one made it! on the way back we got lifts in tuk-tuk's back to the hotel! later that night we went to the Bangkok sky tower! to see the views for Bangkok at night! and that was right up my street, later as a group we agreed that while in Bangkok we should go and see a ping pong show! we all agreed that it was all very sad, and seedy, and that was just half of the people watching! the other half were backpackers like us who were they just to say there'd been! On the way home we say we were glad to be able to say we went but would not be going again! ever! Day 3 Thai cooking course and the night train to Koh Sok! was the agenda of the day! The cooking course was on of the things i'd wanted even before i got there and was pleased to find out that this is what they had replaced the Grand Palace with! and due to popular demand had kept it even though the Palace was now open again! i really enjoyed the cooking and have a half day course to look forward to in Chang Mai, later on! later we checked out and and got a taxi to Bangkok station to get the night train! i wasn't sure what to expect but i was excited about doing it! and it was ok not many slept but i did! i would imagine the novelty would were off soon, but for now it was fun! (how ever when i travel back up i'm choosing to fly just for quickness sake really plus its so cheap!
