We arrived 1 hour later than planned as there was a delay at Heathrow because of the snow only one landing/take off strip was open.

Got a taxi to our hotel The Golden Sands 3. Our room wasn't ready so we had to hang around in the lounge then sat by the pool and had a drink. We met with an old friend of Bullies called Andy Gee who lives in Dubai with Sally and the kids. They picked us up and we went for lunch at the Irish village, good beer and food. Later we went into city centre and got on the tour bus. Our hotel is in Mankhool which is the old town, our bus tour took us around new Dubai, we saw all the magnificent buildings, although the traffic is mad here, you feel like you are taking your life into your own hands trying to cross the road.

Went into the Atlantis hotel on Palm Island and took the the tour of the Lost Word Aquarium. Eventually we went back to the hotel, its was only 8pm when we turned in we are so tired, we had to set the clock alarm for 8am incase we slept through the hole day and missed anything.
