Day 2 of skiing and we are 1 man down. Lynette is having a rest day. We had some lovely runs in the morning but realistically by lunch time the snow is pretty bad that there's not much point so lunch in town in the hot sun then dog walking. After plucking up the courage to leave the van in an abandoned car park instead of paying €20 a day at the ski lift, all was fine. Van not towed bikes still on back. So we eventually made it to St Anton after a 4 hour journey took 7 being stuck stationary on the autobahn. We sat for ages until deciding to do as the locals do and head down the hard shoulder. Last day This week has been an experience. Think I was lead into a false sense of security on Monday when Stu got back at 4:30pm thinking it was going to be like that all week. Going shopping when you have to carry everything for nearly 3km is just silly. How did people manage with out cars? My feet hurt my arms hurt and my neck is a little achy and that was all by 10am.
