Valentines day

So as we had one too many tequilas last night, none of us set an alarm when we rolled into bed even though we were being picked up at 8am to go to halong bay, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

7:50am, Georgie thankfully woke up and by some kind of miracle and lots of frantic running around with very sore heads we managed to pack up all our stuff just in time. However Kelly was feeling slightly dehydrated so decided to neck a whole bottle of water whilst already feeling majorly sick from a belly full of tequila. As we walked to the bus she threw up on the road as the bus driver looked on in horror, little did we know that wasn't to be the last of it.

Out of nowhere I (kelly) needed to be sick but the bus was moving and there was no windows. So the picture that looks like I have wet myself is actually yep me throwing up into my own lap. Thankfully it was only the bottle of water I stupidly drank but this four hour drive was not going to be enjoyable.

As you can tell from most of our photos, halong bay was cloudy and cold but we were determined to still embrace the activities and the night we had lined up sleeping on the 'fantasea cruise boat'. We were shown to our small cabin before being whisked away to view the caves and beaches off halong bay before spending an hour kayaking around the scenery, many people have been lucky enough to spot monkeys on the mountains whilst kayaking but unfortunately today was not our day. As we sat on the beach taking in the sights and getting some cheesy "I'm in the sea" shots a Chinese man asked if he could have a photo with us, most definitely is the blonde hair working its magic.

Dinner and karaoke on the boat before heading to bed to watch mean girls on the ipad. Heating blankets were an absolute godsend!
