So after our personal goodbyes to family and friends over the past few weeks it's finally time to hit up gatwick airport to get the adventure started.

Arrived at the airport 4 hours in advance due to excitement and fear of missing the flight to kick start the trip. Waved off through the security gates from Sam and swoop (ggs parents) and into duty free we go. BREAKFAST TIME in a nearby cafe, nothing to rave about just your standard scrambled eggs and orange juice.

10:30am; never too early to start drinking. Hi wetherspoons, cheeky bottle of prosecco courtesy of Ben (Georgie's boyfriend) and time to let it all sink in, The past few days have been a world wind.

A few emotional texts later, our gate is announced and off we go.
