Up bright an early at half 7 (the earliest we've been up in a while- yawn) as scuba school started at 9am! We grabbed a delicious croissant from a local bakery and made our way up to Roctopus! We were greeted by our dive instructor, big dave, and his assistant Karl, honestly couldn't have asked for better instructors! The morning consisted of going over our homework previously set the night before, which we all got a solid 100%, so knowledgable. Then to find out we had another 2 hours off homework again! In the afternoon we went out on the boat to Aow Leuk and we jumped into the water and had to prove that we could tread water for 10 minutes. Next after popping on our cylinders and masks we had to practise our skills in the water at 2m deep. There was various skills we had to learn including; removing water from our masks under the water, throwing our regulator and learning how to control our breathing until we could find it again. We enjoyed a second skill test the same afternoon, were we learnt how to blow bubbles under the water, which we were all terrible and failed! We also learnt how to take our BCs and weight belts off under the water and put them back on again, trust us this was harder than it sounds!! As if this was not tiring enough considering we haven't exercised in10 weeks, we then find out the boat has moved to the other side of the beach and we have to walk in our flippers and cylinder backwards, we looked like penguins!! We enjoyed a few too many free pineapple biscuits once arriving back to the boat ( our new favourite treat). Back on land and after finished our homework, we decided that we deserved one beer on the beach!
