We got up at 7:15am and left home at 8:20, we arrived at heathrow at 9:00, baggage was easy and didn't get stopped at security. We boarded at 11:30 and finally took off at 12:50. The flight took 12 hours to get to Kuala Lumpa in which time I watched 3 films, 2 TV shows, ate 3 meals and slept, we finally landed at 12:50 We had a rather painless change over and spent about an hour at the airport before another 1 and a half hour flight. We eventually landed at Phuket at 4:20 am, we are six hours ahead and I have just changed my watch to Thai time so from now on I will refer to to that instead of British time.
