hi all

we are now in brisbane we spent 4 nights in surfers paradise after leaving byron bay. we loved byron but werent quite so keen on surfers paradise it was an ok place it was just a bit commercialised and tacky reminded us a bit of the costa del sol or somewhere like that not really oz!

we did have a trip to a water park in surfers paradise that was cool we spent the whole day flying down water slides and in rapids and stuff which was fun!

on the journey from surfers to brisbane we stopped off and we all went zorbing its was cool you basically get in a giant inflatable ball with loads of water and get rolled down a big hill its like a mix between being in a giant hampster ball and being in a washing machine!

our first night in brisbane they messed up our booking at the hostel so to say sorry they gave us a free night in a plush appartment which was great made a change from sleeping in bunkbeds in a dorm!

we got to brisbane just in time for australia day which was good, we spent autralia day down by the river at a park called southbank where they had concerts and firworks they even have a man made beach and swimming pool down there plus it was all free!

tomorrow were going to steve irwins zoo (RIP) so should see mad men messing around with crocs and snakes and other dangerous stuff! we are also going on a brewery tour where you get free beer so im sure i will enjoy that!
