The gondola capital of Italy was too quick to enjoy properly. Venice is a city that seems like it would be best enjoyed at a relaxed pace. Although we did go into town the night before, we only had a few hours in the city during the day before our flight to Paris left.

In the morning, we had to turn in the car, so the plan was to drop me to do laundry while the guys took back the car. Our car ended up going back to a different place than originally expected, so it put a bit of a kabash on our plans. We still got everything done, and much of the city explored. However, I would love to go to back on an adult trip to the hillsides of Tuscany and Venice. It's a little hard to be romantic with kids goofing off in the middle. We still got a smooch or two in on the bridges of Venice.

The kids enjoyed Venice, and everyone was pretty tired by the time we got on our flight. The gelato could not compare to Otavieri, the ultimate winner in our daily gelato contest. Although, we did not try it in Pisa due to the crazy weather there.
