Hi,

Two weeks has already passed since we arrived in Bali, but we've only managed to see three places so far!

At the moment we're in a small coastal town on the North of Bali called Lovina. It is described in the guide book as a chilled out version of Kuta, but the reality is that it is far from relaxing walking down the road or along the beach here. Constant harrassment of street vendors wanting you to buy something is really annoying when you just want a quite moment to yourself to watch the sunset, or to just walk down the street! "Looking, looking - it's free!". Great, it's free to look, that makes a change... not! As you might notice, it's a tad annoying. Yet at the same time, everyone is so friendly and nice when they ask you whether you want transport, a wooden dolphin etc. That makes it even harder to just walk on.

The place cherises the dolphins you supposedly can find and watch on one of the early-morning cruises. They love them so much that they've raised a huge statue of a dolphin by the beach. Huge!

Jake is off diving today, while I (agneta,.. of course!) had to cancel last minute as I developed a cold last night. As you other divers will already know (and something new for you non-divers to find out!), you shouldn't dive when you've got a cold as I might have trouble equalising my ears and could end up with bursted ear drums. Not very nice. Or choke on my own snot in my mask. Not very nice either! So I've stayed behind, nutured a cold-induced headache by having a long sleep and I'm soon off to the pool for an hour or so. Really jealous of Jake, but I'll get to dive soon hopefully. I am a bit worried though that he'll get eaten by a shark when I'm not there to defend him! Actually, if he did end up seeing a shark (and not getting eaten of course!) I'd be very lealous that I missed it!

Wow, guess who just walked in to the Internet cafe... Jake! So I'm pleased to tell yo all that he did NOT get eaten by a shark! Appearantly one of the best dives he's ever done too!

We're off to the pool now.
