After the overnight bus from Sydney we were a little tired checking in to the excellent YHA hostel in Byron Bay. Added to this was the disapointment of it still being a little cold and cloudy. Still after some breakfast the Wallace's informed us we were going Zorbing or should I say Zoorbing (something to to with a trademark) in the afternoon. I being of no bravery whatsoever was a little scared.

No need to worry the Zoorbing company was of the highest professional standards. The scence was a farmers field full of cow's and cow sh*t, the run off ramp was an old double bed hammerred into the ground and that was it. We drew ots for first and
Hannah won or lost depending on how you look at at so was first to "have the most fun you can rolling down a hill".

Tied into the zoorb Hannah rolled down the hill before it was my own turn and then the Wallaces went for a tandem roll (at least they never had the lycra Billy and Mo). All very good fun except when you felt sick near the bottom and had to walk through knee deep cow dung to get back to the top.

For dinner we perfromed the ultimate in frugal to eat for $2 each and got several free drinks. Unfortunately the next day it was pouring down so we went to the cinema to see the superb Batman film. We also booked the rest of our trip up to Cairns at Peter Pan travel so we were all set to leave for Surfers Paradise the next day. And hopefully some warm weather.....
