Feeling pretty tired after touring about South America for 2 months, and a bit hungover from the free vino at the Tango show the night before, we arrived at Santiago airport.We decided we couldn't really face another couple of days walking about a big city (that didn't get a great write up in our guidebook).We were also really looking forward to getting to New York.So on arrival we decided we would chance it and ask at the American Airlines office if there were any spaces on the flight to Miami then JFK that night.Luckily for us there was and we changed our tickets at no extra cost.

We had several hours to hang about until the flight, so all we saw of Santiago was the bar inside the airport.We will come back and explore Chile properly one day!
