Gal's Exploits
So spent 4 nights in Phnom Penh and can safely say that it's possibly the craziest city in the world. The roads are a death trap where no one ever stops and all the Tuk-Tuk drivers seemed to want to either run me over or try to crash when I was in one. Had a great time although the city itself doesn't feel completely safe. Ended up going to some mental club that we found out afterwards has been closed before for grenades going off. I personally had a great night with a couple of Irish guys I was travelling with and we all found the female Cambodians to be very friendly.
To work off the hangovers the next day we decided that it would be a good idea to shoot some AK47s and pose with some heavy artillery. I was also offered the opportunity to shoot a rocket launcher at a cow which, although appealing, I had to turn down as A) It cost 200 bucks and B) My friend Becky would never forgive me (she has some weird love of bovines)
Following this we went to the killing fields and one of the Khmer Rouge prisons, a converted school, which were both extremely disturbing. I won't go into the intricacies of how the Khmer Rouge tortured whole families by brain-washing 12 year olds to be their soldiers but I can safely say that it was quite a harrowing experience.
Anyway next stop Nam
