Hi Guys!

INDONESIA

We arrived into Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia - a completely forgettable place due to insane traffic jams and near enough impossible to get around the city!We were very happy to move on and lucky too as we just missed an earthquake there!We travelled across Java to Yogyakarta, a really cosmopolitan city with loads of good cafés and lots of focus on traditional Indonesian life.We visited Borobudur which is Indonesia's answer to The Angkor Wat, and continued on our journey to Gunung Bromo, the countries biggest volcano. We then headed on to the paradise island of Bali (or so we thought!)

Bali has completely overgrown its size; it's the Ozzie's answer to the Costa del Sol.Tons of traffic again, but not surprising as Indonesia is the 4th most populated country in the world!We enjoyed going to the cultural centre of Ubud, lots of wonderful Hindu temples and Indonesian Legong Lasem dancing in the evening and great food.

Finally we found our best run yet, in Ubud - picture this: running between lush green rice terraces, a clear water stream flowing next to you, swaying palms and locals washing at the waterfalls - absolutely stunning and something that will help us run round the roads when we're back in London!

We then caught a very slow boat to Lombok - part of the Nusa Tenggara region.A world away from Bali, not as developed, with a spectacular deserted coastline, great surf and palm groves all around.We met up with Simon - for the 4th time on our trip!!We hired mopeds to tour around the island before heading over for an unforgettable climb up Mount Rinjani - 12,000ft high, an active volcano, the same height as Mount Fuji.

It was a 2 day trip with a night camping on the crater rim.We had porters carrying all our food supplies and overnight gear and they still beat us to the top - it was a very steep climb!!Well worth it though as we made it to the crater rim to witness an amazing view.The volcano was active so we were lucky enough to see lava spewing down its side (from a safe distance thankfully!)We camped on the edge of the rim, one wrong turn and it would have been bye bye Brad and Susie! - check out the photos!

After an exhausting climb down, we chilled by going to a remote islands off Lombok - called the Gilis, we stayed on the party island of Gili Trawangan, only horse and cart for travel and an hour to walk around the island.We splurged out by booking a private pool villa by the sea as our reward for our epic climb; we thought we all deserved it!This was where we experienced our 2nd earthquake of Indonesia, the tremor only shook us awake as the epicentre was on a neighboring island, but hey it is earthquake season!

AUSTRALIA

We said our goodbyes to Simon and headed over to Australia for a month - Sydney via Darwin to hang out with Susie's sister and bro in law, Jenny and Daz(o).We've been having a brilliant time catching up and enjoying western food for the first time in nearly 2 years!It's been cool reminiscing about our previous travels in Oz and discovering new places, ie Summer Bay!We've only had shrimps on the Barbie once so far but loads of great steaks and enjoyable nights, experiencing the great Ozzy culture out in their home town of Manly.They've been great hosts and it's been nice to chill for a while and not be on the road constantly for a change!

Our flights are booked to come home in early December, it has to end sometime! …only one country left, New Zealand - seeing best friends and a new little one, and only one more blog after this, phew we hear you cry!

Anyway, miss you and see you in 6 weeks time!
