Arrived Brisbane after 3 day drive here. Leaving Oz (sadly) for New Zealand 11am tomorrow...leaving a lot of memories behind. Meeting Nigel (John's brother) in Auckland for a few days then off in the campervan!!!! Love to all

Hello from Gladstone - stopped here after our 2nd leg of our Cairns-Brisbane drive. Only another 500 kilometres to go tomorrow! That will be our last full day in Oz until we fly to New Zealand on Saturday. We have hauled ass driving but cruise control has made things a darn sight easier. Oh my word, it really does look like this no word of a lie and the weather is superb. Arrived yesterday, did Port Douglas and fell asleep on Four Mile Beach. Idyllic. Totally. Been to Kuranda today up via the scenic railway and down by spectacular skyrail (cable car). Amazing views and surfed on the tops of the rainforests (cable car). Off to find a steak for John now then first thing tomorrow off on our 3 day drive to Brisbane. Cuddled a koala today too, ti...

Hurrah - arrived in Perth after 7 hour sleepless electrical storm filled flight. Not pleasant. Recovering slowly - gosh this is hard! VB is helping (Ozzie beer). All very friendly - bus driver from Wigan to boot!! Small world or what? Here till Sunday and loving it already.Very calm, relaxed and warm friendly atmosphere. Night falls within minutes however...looking forward to feeding quokkas and riding camels! Prize to the person who works out what quokkas are!
