Kanchanburi is one of the places that I've been looking forward to visiting and it has not disappointed. Its so peaceful and quiet, a welcome change from Bangkok. Ko Toa wasnt a place I had originally intended to go, but everyone I have met has either been or is planning to go. So I took the ferry from Ko Samui and arrived at this divers paradise. I arrived in Ko Phangan after taking, 2 ferries and 2 buses, extremely tired. Again the journey lasted much longer than I was promised at the time of booking. Im getting used to that now. My first night on Ko Phangan was spent on the West Coast in a quiet resort with a lovely beach. It was really nice, but there were hardly any people there at all. Thailand is amazing, when its not raining! ha ha I spent a couple of nights in Krabi before moving to Ko Phi Phi. There is still alot of rebuilding work going on here after the Tsunami. The beaches are great and Phi Phi Lay, which is just a short boat ride away is lovely. I could spend weeks here and not get board! The diving here is also very good, although Im told I was very lucky to get such good conditions.
