Hello everyone,

I arrived safe and sound in Sydney, even though in the taxi to the airport in Bangkok, I was subjected to some shocking Thai cover band cd. They knew all the classics, we're talking Bee Gee's numbers, Greece songs......everything! What was most amusing though was the taxi drivers dance moves to the music as he was driving. Very bizzare. He even had a real life mullet from the first time round by the looks of it.

Anyway, my first day in Sydney was spent around the Harbour and the Opera house (pictures to follow). Then the weather took a bit of a turn and it got cold and rainy for the next couple of days. I took a ferry over to Manly and with the weather being as good as it was, it was like a day out to Scarborough or Brid, very nice I must say! Its supposed to be summer here, whats going on???

The hostel I stayed in wasnt too bad, but I was sharing a room with 4 Irish lads who must of been all of 17 and all had rollerblades or a skateboard! I did feel a little left out!!! I'm not sure Im cut out for dorm life! ha ha

Well, next stop - Melbourne.
