Preparation. It's not just the getting ready to go - it's the preparing to leave thats the problem! Going is a simple matter of a bag and a number of (hopefully right) clothing choices, toiletries and checking that all technology is up and running, Phone, camera etc. Oh and my passport and brand new credit card.
Leaving on the other hand is a juggle of having house tidy enough for Leanne, our house-& cat sitter. Having all my work up to speed and some - preparing for 3 weeks of not sitting at my desk as end-of-tax year rolls around. Thanks Terry - most excellent of accountants for keeping it all happening. I really like the fact that I get a high-end accountant with qualifications and degrees to cover me when I am gone, because no one else can do it!
And catching up with friends and family - as if we were going to the end of the world. Oh thats right - we are!
