I know its been totayll ages since we have told you about our travels but here is another wee bit for you all..........

Left the Whitsunday went to Bundaberg, which i refuse to writre about then stopped off in Harvey Bay - didn't do much there and our next stop was Rainbow Beach, here we done a 3day Safari in 4WD jeeps - quality weekend!!

Basically we got put in groups of 11/12 and 6 groups set off one morning after we had loaded up the jeeps. Everything went on top as there was minimal room inside. Food, drink, tents, bags, tabels, saucepans - all the necessary for a good weekend.

Vicky started off our tour by driving first and may I say what a good start! haha she looked tiny behind the wheel - you''ll see photos soon. We drove from about 15 minutes before having to board the ferry for about 10mins and then we were on the famous Fraser Island. This is a massive Sand dune and totally amazing - we were supplied with a map and some road rules or beach rules rather. Basically all we did was tour the beach but it was that massive that in the three days we had only enoug htime to go up and back down before our ferry departed.

Obviously there were loads of places to see along the way first off was Lake MAckenzie -an massive fresh water lake in the middle of the islands - you could not imagine how lovely it was from the drive a and then the walk we had to make to get there. We all welcomed the lake as we were not allowed to swim in the sea off the beach due to the high risk of getting eaten by a blooming shark and or Box jelly fish!! either would be very nice so we all steared clear. Its beel so long i can't quite remember all the places we visited but i'll tell you the highlights -

Shark lookout - top of the island - a wee walk upa hill thing and from here there was the most amazing views of the island and the sea surrounding it - we did infact spot some sharks in the water as well as turtles. AGain the pictures are great. From here is hada group disput unfortunately and soem went to the champghane pools- beautiful pools among high up rocks and the rest of us went back to the bus as high tide was due and OBVIOUSLY we had to get off the beach in case we got washed away!! HAH well a few words were exchanged when two of the group wonderedd off and left the rest of us waiting for nearly 2 hrs - we soon sorted that out and took the jeep to restricted sands!!!!! and found them - our youngerst group members who werealso boys - let their tounge slip OOPS. Anyways camping was fun that night but we had a dry group - so dry infact before we left when we were sorting out the drinks, one of the group said that she would like 2 beers a night - i was like emmmmmmmmm i'm not sure i'd prob drink more than that!!! (with out a doubth) but can't give in to the big irish drinker thinig. I was nice though and we compromised and yeah we didn't go dry. Vic and I wandered off to have a few drinks with some other groups and ensured that the next night our group would be more in the party mood. And indeed they were - we mde friends with a guy called seftan and unfort he drank way too muich good (VERY cheap boxed wine) all travellers drink this!! As the next day he requested tha the be left at a point abd be collected aon the way back!!! haha. We had great fun convincing him of all the stuff he had got up too!! CLASSIC

I resummed titel of head chef for the weekend which i didn't mind at all - saved doing the dishes! It was all puyt out in a menu anyway with the food rashins so any one could have managed it!!!

WE saw loads of wide life - DINGOs, iganas, loads --------- anyways i'm not great with names. One thing that did stand out was one little incident that HAD to happen!! Vic and I din't exactly get on great with one particular girl - think three big personalities were tooooooo much. At one point this lady had said one thing too muich and Vic couldn't hold back!! hahah well vic told her what she thought and i can honestly say that she was saying it in my defense which i'm greatful for but the ohter thing was i never saw vic move so fast from the back of a locked jeep to the front door and over the seats to get in!!! haha I love it - we are still laughing about it.

Ok so this is probably bored you lot to tears - when the photos are put up you might havea chance to see what we mean. Sunsets and sunrises - AMAZING!!! :)
