Houston and Walmart.
We got to Houston in the evening. I had made an online reservation at an RV park with availability. When we got there, they were all locked up with no one to check us in. I left a message and we went to have dinner. We never got a call back and since we could not find another available RV park, we decided to Boondock in a Walmart parking lot. If you are not part of the "RV culture" you might not know that there are several places where RVers can safely park overnight when necessary. There is Walmart, Cracker Barrel, Bass Pro Shops; Cabela's just to name a few. Saturday night, it was Walmart. We parked in a well-lit area at the back of the lot and got some rest. We had an electrical issue with the RV when we got up. Because it was Sunday, help was limited, so with some advice from my brother Evan in California, Rob spent most of the day trying to get it resolved himself. It was pretty late by the time we got on the road to head toward New Orleans. Texas was a big BUST!
