We left Ko Phi Phi and carried our bags back down the narrow streets to the pier. We had already brought our tickets for the journey as it seems the only way was to buy them from travel agencies so we picked them up in town cheaper than at the pier. We arrived by boat from Railey beach at Ko Phi Phi, which is famous as it was where the film the beach was shot. The island was also badly damaged by the Tsunami that hit the region on boxing day 2004. As well as the damage to the island a lot of lives were also lost here. We arrived in Krabi after another 12 hour bus ride from Bangkok, but luckily thanks to a lot of space on the bus and our last sleeping tablets we both slept nearly 3/4 of the way. We decided to head to the beach resort of Ao Nang, so we got a taxi from Krabi town which is only 20 minutes away. We arrived at about 7am after our 12 hour bus journey from Chiang Mai, which was not too bad as we both slept, thanks to the sleeping tablets! We left Cambodia and the roads were much better than on the way in!
