We are about to make the long journey to Hanoi, Vietnam. Leaving Vancouver Friday Nov. 4th at 1:40 am and arriving in the capitol city of Hanoi Saturday morning around 9:30am local time. This trip holds suspense and mystery as neither of us have travelled here and the curiousity is exciting! A new and distant land with a new language, culture and history, as well as new food and new exciting and beautiful places to explore.
We will spend time in Sapa, a mountainous region with several indiginous hill tribe people and terraced rice paddies. Then on to Halong Bay for some time on the water surrounded by 2000 limestone islands and a Chinese junk cruise. We will fly to Hoi Ann, a traditional ancient Vietnamese town for some beach time and a lantern festival. And then end our time in Saigon, now known as Ho Chi Min City. We are excited for the adventure and will be posting our experiences here on our travel blog. Join us!
