Hi everyone!! Bit behind on my postcards at the momnet as been moving around quite a bit and only just got around to putting my photos on to CD but anyway here is a bit of an outline of what I've been up to since malaysia!! So about 4 weeks ago now I arrived in singapore where I met a japanese girl from new york on my bus from malaka so we decided to share a room for a few days together in chinatown in singapore!! Not the best accomodation I've stayed in as riddled with cockroachs so that was nice (see lovely photos!!) Did all the normal touristy things like have a singapore sling in the long bar at raffles hotel (nearly fainted at the price!!) Checked out the numerouse shopping malls and spent a day at sentosa island where I visited the underground travellator where you get to see sharks and all kinds of fishes!! Chinatown was interesting and I've now become accostomed to eating dim sum and other such foods!! Then from singapore I flew across to perth which was a complete change to everything I'd experienced in asia like proper toilets and western food again!! But along with this comes a shock at the prices (which are about the same as at home but not used to paying so much for the beer!!) While here I stayed at my aunties for a few days who had to put up with me getting excited at using an iron!! So it was pure lux for a few days!! However all good things come to an end and after a few days I bid them farewell and moved myself out to a hostel in town where I had to start getting used to living in 4 and 6 bed rooms and sharing with boys!! yuck!! So once settled in I viisted freemantle which was lovely old town with many coffee shops and little market full of lovely things to buy!! I also managed a visit to rotnest lsland which is about 2 hours from perth and home to quokkers(still cant spell that!!) They are like a rat cross a wallaby and are everywhere running around!! So I hired a bike for 2 days and cyled my way round some stunning coves and landscape. then it was back to perth and on to a wine tasting trip!! I now am wine expert got extreemly tipsy but was a good warm up fro the st patrick celebrations later that night!! However things went a little bit askew when my flight to cairns got cancelled due to the cyclone!! All turned out ok in the end as I had 5 days extra in perth so did a 3 day tour down to the south west taking in margret river and albany etc etc (Bloody freezing and pouring wih rain though although this didnt dampan our spirits too much!!) So finally made my overnight trip up to cairns where it was raining!! Ahh!! Was in the rainforest in rainy season though so not so suprising really!! Then I moved up to mossman gorge, daintree river for croc spotting and cape trib where I spent 2 days in the rain but managed to get in 2 horse rides and saw lots of scary animals!! Think the photos show how amazibng it was though!! So after cairns I made my way to magnetic island which is beautiful with amazing forset and beaches and found myself hooked up with a german girl for a few days so we booked outself on to an evening tour where we sat on the beach watching the sunset with champagne and crackers really really nice!! Now in airle beach which I decide what trip to do to the whitsundays but weather taken a turn for the worse which is a bit sad as my hostel has amazing views over the bay so last night hooked up with some guys I met and sat having beers overlooking the bay!! Its a hard life this traveling!! So next stop will be great kepple island and then a few nights on a cattle farm riding horses and moterbikes all going well!! Still trying to sum up courage to do a skydive so we will see!! Still lookingto change my flights so I have 3 extra weeks in oz and one extra week in fiji as I just dont want to come home so prob back about june now!!
