Hi guys!!! Hope your all well!! I'm currently in christchurch in NZ having arrived yesterday havent actually managed to see very much as its been non stop raining since I got here and sooooo cold!!! Been out and bought gloves and hat in first 10 mins it was that cold!! To top if off I have got tonsilitus!!! So on anbiotics and no drinking for next 10 days!!! Nightmare!!! But never mind start my 2 week trip round the south island tomorrow so that should be good! So making the use of good internet facilities here and have added the last of my oz photos for your purusal!! So since leaving lovely noosa which I really didnt want to leave I headed down to brisbane for a night, didnt get to see that much but what I did see looked good. Then from here it was on to byron bay for a week. Well Byron was so cool and I met so many lovely people, seemed to spend most of my week gossiping, playing cards and frequenting the famouse 'cheeky monkeys' nightclub!! But also managed to fit in a spot of shopping, sunbathing and visit to 'nimbin' legendary hippy commune town from the 60's!!! Was one of the most bizarre places I've every visited and famouse for its dope/cookie(not your normal variety) availability!!! Was very sad to leave byron and the little possie we had formed but the idea of this travelling is that you keep moving on so from here my next stop was a town on the coast called newcastle!! This town is quite industrial due to the port however its more known for the 'hunter valley' region which surrounds it and the wine they produce!! So on the first day I headed down to the port to watch some australian speed boat racing and sip a few ales at the water side!!(see photos) On the second day being in yet another wine tasting region I took myself off on a day trip of 6 vineyards!! Opps bad mistake to start drinking so early in the morning!! Wine was lovely though not to sure about the chillie liqure I had near the end of the day!!!Hostel was good as you got free evening meals 3 nights a week at the local irish pub!! Even won a pool comp on my last night although this was more due to my pool buddy than my pool playing skills(especially for those who have seen me play pool before will know!!) Then the next day it was on to sydney for 5 nights where I took in all the sights like the sydney harbour bridge, opera house, ferry trip, aquarium, sky tower, bondi beach etc etc (see my hundreds of photos of the bridge - sorry to bore you!!) So sad to leave oz as had such an amazing time there (and it was hot!!) but now ready to explore all that NZ has to offer so watch this space for new photos shortley!!! Anyway quick notes for a few of you!! Baz/Becks - Hope all is going well with the new house!! Send me some photos if you have any!!! Jen - When do you leave for newcastle?? Do you have a job there yet?? What is steve doing is he going to work in scotland still?? I'm so behind on the news!! Sara - Has that baby arrived yet?? Kim - I want full update on all these men!! Oh and any drinking nights out!! Kerion/Catlin - Hello, did you have a nice birthday Catlin? Kerion are you being a good boy at school for mummy?? Emily - stop driving round in sports cars!!
