Day 5 Coober Pedy to Port Augusta. Another LONG day in the desert - over 700km including the worlds longest stretch of road without a junction - 234km of nothing. Day 4 Uluru to Coober Pedy.. We got up once again at 04-30 to see our last Uluru sunrise and also because we had to drive 850km across the desert to our next stop Coober Pedy. Over 12 hours of driving across the empty desert and we arrived in Coober Pedy. What a strange place. It is the opal mining capital of the world.
